Illustrated deck
Japanese Deck
Samurai, cherry blossoms and Japanese tradition across the four suits
The Japanese Deck dresses the Spanish cards in motifs from classical Japan. Its forty-eight cards feature cherry blossoms, torii gates, mountains, clouds and traditional architecture, always on light backgrounds that keep every value easy to read.
Engraved medallions stand in for the coins; the cups are lacquered ceremonial bowls; the swords take the shape of katanas; and the clubs become ornamented maces. Warriors, riders and lords wear armour in different colours to give each suit its own identity.
The rank sits in both corners with clean space kept around the symbols. That makes it easy to count the pieces and recognise the suit quickly, at a large table or on a phone screen.
It's a purely visual change: the rules, the odds and the value of hands stay exactly the same. It's available in the shop for games compatible with Lascuarenta.es (The Forty)'s illustrated decks.
