Illustrated deck

Default deck

The deck everyone plays with from day one

The default deck is on the table from day one, no purchases or unlocks needed. It comes with your account and is the one you'll find when you enter a quick game of Brisca, Tute, Cuatrola, Chinchón or Escoba.

It's a 48-card Spanish deck drawn to the standard that runs through the whole site: a full illustration per card, a suit that's recognisable at a glance, the rank in both corners and no decoration sitting on top of the information. The coins are golden discs, the cups keep the wide base of classic decks, the swords cross in compositions you can count without staring and the clubs are branches with leaves.

Its toughest test is a quick game, on a small phone, in low light. The cards have to be recognised the instant you play. That's why we use this deck as the readability benchmark when reviewing every other one.

It's always available and doesn't cost Jacks. The other decks change the artwork but keep the rules and the value of every card exactly the same.
